I was recently in Denmark and carved out some time to visit a new concept store of JYSK Denmark. JYSK has been a global retail leader since their founding in 1979 and was one of the first to grasp the idea of creating an experience for the customer within the retail environment.

Quick answer? Anything woven. Woven baskets, woven bowls, and even woven wall décor and in-home accents are trending. How would I know? The winter NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift market I attended back in February at the Javits Center in New York City told me!

Food shows are a lot of fun, especially when they take place in the United States. There are so many displays featuring the latest and greatest food trends with millions of samples of snacks, cheeses, drinks and condiments.

I’ve been so busy I haven’t even had a chance to look back on two fabulous shows I attended with some of my Turkish clients in New York this past summer. Since it’s finally getting cold around here (winter is coming!) I wanted to warm up a bit and remember the hot days of summer and the incredible exhibits from back in July.

Autumn in New York. Is there anything better? It’s really about as good as it gets, especially when NY Women’s is in town. NY Women’s is an incredible fashion event that brings in-demand brands and designers to town to showcase the apparel, footwear, and accessories of their upcoming Spring ’18 collections.

For years those seeking partnerships with governments and nationalized industries have relied on traditional lobbying techniques to convey their ideas and promote their agenda. The cultivation of these types of relationships has been the key strategy for access and influence in the world of public policy.

This year, I decided to mix business with pleasure and combine a routine business trip with a relaxing summer holiday. Presently, I am enjoying the clear waters and white sands of Turkey by the Aegean Sea.
